What is recorded here

Fairy fort or ringfort, the name changes but the shape holds: a level circle forced into a living slope. People may have built it, trimmed it, remembered it, or invented it after forgetting the first builder. That is not a gap in the story; it is the shape of the story.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope. Circular area (36m N-S; 36m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m; max. ext. H c. 3m) WSW->SSE; scarp (H 2.5m) elsewhere. Break (Wth 10m) in bank to ENE. Fosse survives as gentle slope into base of bank. Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
