Knockalinsky holds two circular earthen forts stacked on a pasture rise, their banks thick with boulders and vegetation. The northern circle may conceal an underground passage, while the southern circle still shows an outer ditch and bank along part of its edge. People may have lived, hidden or performed rituals inside these rings before the fields closed over them.

In pasture, atop a rise. Site consists of two circular areas (N [MA100-099001-], 50m N-S; 41m E-W and S [MA100-099003-], 46m N-S; 43m E-W), enclosed by earthen banks, meeting at S and N points, respectively. Possible Man-made underground passage (MA100-099002-) in N enclosure. External fosse and outer bank survive NE to W of S enclosure. Many large boulders included in earthen banks which are heavily overgrown. The above description has been derived from D.
