Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Knockacappul (tirerrill By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knockacappul (tirerrill By.), County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies wet pasture near the base of an east-facing ridge and on the southwest side of a field boundary. A raised roughly circular area measures 16.8m in internal diameter and is enclosed by an earth and stone bank 1.65m wide and 0.5m high internally. A silt-filled external fosse 2.2m wide and 1.2m deep is evident along the east arc, while hazel trees cover the bank and brambles overgrow the waterlogged interior.
In wet pasture, near the base of an E-facing ridge and on the SW side of a field boundary. A raised roughly circular area (int. diam. 16.8m) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.65m; int. H 0.5m). A silt-filled external fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 1.2m) is evident along the E arc. The bank is covered with hazel trees. The interior is waterlogged and overgrown with brambles.
