Kiltenan North holds a broken oval ringfort where a later lime kiln cut through the ancient bank. The earthen ridge still rises beside pasture, but its gaps and intruding ramp suggest the fort surrendered part of itself to human industry. What began as a defended home became material for fire, its shape reduced to a scarred outline in the field.

In gently undulating pasture. Oval area (23m E-W; 19.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.6m), with external fosse (D 0.45m; Wth 2m) ENE->SE and S->WNW. A lime kiln (LI020-153---) has been built into bank at NW and its ramp crosses the interior (L 15m; Wth 2.6m). Gaps in bank at NNE (Wth 3.8m) and SE (Wth 3.8m). Level interior under pasture.
