Kilsarkan West is a Fairy fort, an earthen ringfort in County Kerry, Ireland. It is a rath, a circular earthwork that likely marked a boundary, a home, or a place of refuge long before modern records named it. The soil may have held hearths, doors, and arguments, while local imagination later assigned it to fairies because its purpose resisted easy explanation.
