Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

No. Under those rules, the honest answer is a short factual description, not an invented story.
This univallate rath consists of a circular area enclosed by a c 4.5m wide bank, which rises to 1.4m above the interior and on average 1.9m externally. An exterior fosse can be noted to the NE through N to W. It is shallow and round bottomed, measures 1.8m wide and .8m deep. It cannot be traced for the rest of the site. A 1.6m wide gap exists to the SE. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 489. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 2 August 2013
