Kilmogue holds a earthen ringfort, a circular rampart built by human hands yet named for fairy folk because its shape still defies easy explanation. The ridge may have marked a boundary, a home or a warning, but the earth has kept that purpose hidden. People walked past this fort for centuries, changing its name and forgetting its function while the soil remembered the pressure of their feet.
