Fairy fort in Killymullin, County Cavan: an earthen ringfort, oval and raised, with a wide break at the west that may have been its entrance. People walked through that gap, lived inside the bank, and left the shape buried under grass and rain. The fairies entered later, filling the empty house with their own claims.

Raised oval area (int. dims. c. 39m E-W; c. 29m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank best preserved from ENE-ESE and at SSW, and a wide, shallow fosse absent from N-NE. Wide break in bank at WSW probably represents original entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
