What is recorded here

Killehenny holds a thirty-two-metre earthen circle where a forgotten fieldbank still cuts across the middle like a forgotten thought. Three wide gaps face east, south and west, inviting entry into low-lying pasture rather than defending against invasion. The northern bank has almost vanished, leaving only a subtle rise above the grass. People may have lived there, herded there or simply walked through because the shape felt natural.

Internal diameter 32m Situated in low-lying pastoral land and lying SW of KE004-038----, this univallate rath has been divided by an earthen ridge running E-W which is possibly the remains of an old fieldbank. The circular area is delimited by a bank c 7m wide and c .5m high. The bank to the N now only appears as a rise above the surrounding land.
