What is recorded here

Quarrying has bitten into the north edge of the Killeenadeema East ringfort, but the earth still holds its shape on the ridge. The fort measures forty-three metres across, with a causewayed gap on the east side where people once entered. It overlookes lower pastureland, suggesting the occupants valued the view as much as defence. The land remembers the shape even when tools remove part of it.

On a prominent ridge overlooking lower pastureland to the N. Subcircular rath (43m N-S; 39.3m E-W), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse.
