Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Killeen (kilnaneave Par.)

Situated on a slight break in the steep NE-facing slope of Cooneen Hill overlooking a precipice. A roughly circular area (diam. 33m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 6m; int. H 2.8m; ext. H 0.6m) which is reduced to a scarp downslope to the NE. The site is built into the hill. The interior slopes to the NE although it levels out towards the NE edge.
