What is recorded here

Killagrohan holds a broken earthen ring where human hands shaped level Cork pasture into a defensive circle centuries ago. The bank still stands half a metre high around a waterlogged ditch, but a narrow gap faces north-northwest, inviting entry or escape depending on which direction fear travels. Trees have since crowded the interior, softening the sharp geometry of human urgency into green shade. What remains is not a fairy tale but a measured skeleton of domestic life, its purpose blurred by centuries of rain and forgetting.

In level pasture. Roughly circular, raised area (25m N-S; 21m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (ext. H 0.5m) with external fosse (D 0.7m). Break (Wth 0.64m) in bank to NNW. Fosse generally silted up and waterlogged. Interior planted with trees; inner fosse (Wth 1m; D 0.3m) noted SW->NNE; SE side of interior appears higher than remainder.
