What is recorded here

Kilgarriff holds a twenty-five metre earthen ring beside the Ahnaguarra Stream, marked as a fairy fort in local tradition. The bank still curves through pasture, perhaps guiding a field boundary or marking a forgotten home. A well sits thirty metres north, waiting to be remembered. People may have lived there before becoming legend, shaping soil into a circle that resistance and reuse both preserved.

In pasture 530m W of the Ahnaguarra Stream. Enclosure (LI057-029----) lies 210m to S. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular enclosure. It is shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by a bank from NW-E-SW, incorporated into a field boundary elsewhere. A well is depicted 30m to N.
