Kilgarriff holds a circular earthen ringfort on an SSE-facing slope, its twenty-eight metre diameter marked by a stone-faced bank and shallow external fosse. The southwest gap invites entry rather than blocking it, suggesting the boundary mattered more than lockout. Pasture grass grows across the interior now, softening the line where human hands shaped the earth. The fort still occupies the hillside, waiting for someone to walk its broken edge and remember that exclusion can be an act of love.
