What is recorded here

Kilcusnaun is a small earthen ringfort in County Kerry, Ireland. Its name still carries the idea of fairy fort, which suggests people once believed the place belonged to another kind of life. The earth may have been shaped for housing, storage or ritual, but the fairy name keeps the human purpose slightly out of reach.
