Keadew contains a large earthen ringfort where a substantial bank encloses a raised circular area measuring thirty-two metres across. People later adapted the surrounding waterlogged ditch into a field drain, changing the ancient boundary into a practical tool for local land. The northern break in the bank may mark the original entrance, preserving a doorway through which humans or fairy kind could have crossed into the hidden world.

Raised roughly circular area (int. dims. 32m NE-SSW; 28.5m WNW-ESE) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, shallow, partly waterlogged fosse. From W-N-NE fosse has been adapted for use as a field drain in modern times. Break in bank at N with partly destroyed accompanying causeway may represent original entrance.
