Inchincummer holds a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort where local people still imagine hidden life rather than dead history. The ridge and ditch mark a place where human hands shaped the land, but the name hands it back to imagination. Kerry keeps both truths alive: the fort existed, and the story about it refuses to stop moving.
