What is recorded here

Situated on a SE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area overlooking a river to the SE. A raised circular area (diam. 41m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 1-1.5m; ext. H 1.3m) and an external fosse best visible at N where the bank acts as a field boundary. The bank is best preserved from W through N to E. There is a possible causewayed entrance at SE where the bank has been reduced to a scarp. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
