What is recorded here

Imleach Dhún Séann is a circular earthen ringfort with a 28m internal diameter, standing 175m north of another site in County Kerry. Its bank rises 2m externally and 1.5m internally, while a 7m southeast gap and a western opening remain blocked. The fort is not a new invention but a recorded local landmark, and its shape still suggests a place where people lived, worked or gathered before the gaps closed.

Internal diam. 28m This circular univallate rath is situated c. 175m N of KE053-028----. The earthen enclosing bank is a maximum of 2m high externally and 1.5m high internally. A 7m wide gap at SE, now blocked, marks the location of the original entrance, and there is a 2nd blocked-up gap at W. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
