Fairy fort in Greenhall Lower is a worn earth and stone oval on a pasture ridge, now partly swallowed by a field boundary. It may have been a human home, a boundary marker, or a child's climbing ring before becoming fairy land in local thought. The lost entrance and missing ditch leave the true purpose uncertain, but the shape still stands out on the ridge.

On a low but prominent NW-SE ridge in pasture. A raised oval area (35.9m NNW-SSE; 28.2m ENE-WSW) enclosed by a poorly preserved low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.2m; H 0.1-0.4m) that has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary from ENE-S-NNE.
