Fairy fort in Greenane, County Cork: a circular earthen ring, 21 metres north-south and 24.4 metres east-west, with a 1.6-metre scarp, sitting atop a hillock in grassland. Cultivation ridges still cross its interior east-west, marking repeated human use. The shape suggests a defended or ceremonial place, yet local memory may have turned it into a fairy fort because its purpose faded while its form remained strange.
