What is recorded here

Grearahnacunnia holds a twenty-eight-metre earthen ring where a forgotten people likely lived before farmyards and ploughs smoothed its edge. The bank still rises slightly against the sky, but a silage pit now occupies the centre and a deserted farm has swallowed the entrance. What looks like a fairy fort may have been an ordinary home, its doors and hearths erased by hunger, weather and time.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 28m) enclosed by a low earthen bank and slight traces of a fosse identifiable only from WSW-SSW. Deserted farmyard abuts the site from E-S-W and the bank is levelled here as a result. Original entrance not recognisable. Internal area now occupied by a silage pit.
