Half a fort still stands in Greaghdrumit, its earthen curve visible only when grass grows uneven along the buried ditch. The missing half may have fallen into a field, a road or a forgotten lane, carrying with it the people who first shaped the bank. What remains is enough to show that the land was not empty before it became ordinary.

Located on a bluff which is on a gentle S-facing slope. This feature is depicted as half a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) with the bank surviving SE-W-NW on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’. It is not depicted on the 1907 edition of the map, and no feature is visible at ground level in pasture. The curve of a fosse separated by a berm from an outer fosse or drain can be seen as a vegetation mark on the OSI aerial images (2000) S-W-N (int. diam. c. 30m).
