Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Greaghadossan

Fairy fort in Greaghadossan, County Cavan: a raised circular area about twenty-five metres across, enclosed by a low earthen bank and shallow fosse, with a narrow eastern break that probably marks the original entrance. Its north-western edge has been absorbed into the field boundary, so the fort now sits half-hidden inside ordinary farmland rather than standing apart as a monument. People may have lived there, excluded others from there, or simply walked past it after it stopped being useful.
