Fairy fort in Gortgarrigan, County Leitrim: a 16 m grass-and-rush circle on a steep drumlin above the Bonet River valley, marked by a low earthen bank and a southern rush-band fosse. People may have lived there, excluded others, or simply followed a line the land already drew. The missing entrance keeps the fort honest: it shows a boundary, not a whole life.

Visible as a circular feature on aerial photographs (OSAP: 4/1086-7). It is located on the SW-facing slope of a steep drumlin on the floor of the Bonet River valley, with a N-S section of the stream c. 230m to the W. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (int. diam. 16m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.8m; H 0.3m) and by a fosse, suggested by a band of rushes (Wth 2m) at S.
