Fairy fort in Glennameade, County Limerick: an oval earthen ringfort, 31m by 34m, with a 1.3m scarped edge and a dry-stone wall over part of it, set atop a rise in pasture. The west half stands slightly higher, sloping gently toward the centre on the east, where boulders and earth were dumped against the inner wall. People may have lived there before the field wall came, or the fairies may have taken the houses and left the hole behind.

In pasture, atop rise in gently undulating terrain. Oval area (31m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 1.3m; Wth 6.5m); dry-stone field wall overlies scarp NNE->ESE. Scarp is best preserved W->N. Interior, under pasture, has slightly higher W half with a gentle slope down towards centre in E half.
