Glenlary holds a broken earthen ring where a trackway still cuts through the bank, marking a boundary that people crossed rather than avoided. The oval platform rises slightly above reclaimed pasture, preserving the shape of a residence or refuge that has surrendered most of its identity to grass and time. Fairy fort is the local name, but the structure is human: a ringfort reduced to a shallow scarps and gaps where entry once mattered.

In reclaimed pasture, Glenlary Cottage lies 270m to the SE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a raised oval-shaped area defined by a scarp. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped platform (dims. c. 21m N-S; 24m E-S) defined by a scarp. Monument visible as circular-shaped area enclosed by a bank with gaps at NE and SW, intersected at SE and SW by a trackway running NW-SE on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12.
