What is recorded here

Fairy forts and raths dot the lowlands, but this one is a circular fosse thirty metres across on a slight ridge in Glebe. It has an entrance gap at the east, and burials were discovered between it and Rath to the west. The dead may have marked the boundary of the fort, or the fort may have guarded the dead. Either way, the ridge carried more than pasture when people lived there.

Situated on a slight NE-SW ridge in a low-lying landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (int. diam. c. 30m) defined by a single fosse feature was recorded in a pasture field in July 2018 using a drone-mounted camera. It has an entrance gap at E. It is also visible on the OSI aerial images (1995). Rath (LH007-192----) is c. 80m to the WSW, and the burials (LH007-187----) were discovered between the two.
