Thirty-eight metres of raised earth in Garrysallagh, County Cavan. A low bank and shallow ditch still mark the circle, though grass and time have worn the edges smooth. The western entrance may have faced the dark fields, inviting people or something else to step inside. Fairy forts belong to nobody now, yet they keep their shape, waiting for the story that matches them.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 38m) enclosed by a much-denuded low earthen bank and traces of a shallow fosse. An earlier report (OPW 1970) suggested that the original entrance may have been at W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
