Fairy fort in Garrymore, County Cavan: a large earthen ring with a deep ditch, part flattened by later fields. Its true entrance has vanished, though modern breaks and causeways still cut the bank. People may have lived inside, feared the ditch at night, or simply passed over the ridge without knowing what they crossed.

Raised subcircular area (int. dims. 43.6m E-W; 47.1m NNW-SSE) enclosed by the remains of a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep fosse. Perimeter has been levelled from E-SE-S. There are a number of breaks in the bank, some with accompanying causeways. However all of these are apparently modern. Original entrance not recognisable.
