Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Garryduff

Situated at the SE end of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. A circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40-45m) is depicted on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’. This is a slightly raised grass-covered and circular area (diam. c. 28m) is defined by a slight scarp. A NW-SE field bank overlies the monument towards the perimeter at NE outside of which a bank (Wth c. 2m; H 0.75m) and a fosse (Wth 2m) survives.
