What is recorded here

Garraunbaun holds a thirty-four metre circular rath on a grassy rise overlooking dark bogland. People built the earth bank decades or centuries before written memory, likely to keep livestock safe or mark local authority. Quarrying has bitten into the western edge, yet the southern bank still stands proud. The site invites imagination about forgotten neighbours who shaped that circle while watching the fog roll across the bog below.

On a rise in grassland overlooking bogland to S. Well-preserved circular rath (D 34m) defined by a bank at S, and elsewhere by a degraded scarp. Quarrying has encroached upon the monument at W.
