Fairy fort in Garranes, County Cork: a roughly circular earthen ring, 32m by 28.2m, with a 1m bank and shallow outside ditch, sitting on a hillcrest now broken into farmland. Its two gaps face east-southeast and south-southwest, as if the circle was never meant to be complete. People may have lived there, marked it, or avoided it; the earth keeps the choice ambiguous.

In tillage, on crest of hill. Roughly circular area (32m E-W; 28.2m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m); external fosse (D 0.5m) W->N. Gap in bank to ESE and SSW.
