Mortons and Cavan authorities recognize the site as a ringfort, yet local memory still calls it a fairy fort because the earth seems to breathe at night. The circular bank encloses twenty-seven metres of dark soil, while a shallow waterlogged ditch rings the outside like a forgotten moat. The eastern gap and causeway mark the entrance, inviting humans into a space where underground passages may still hide beneath the grass. What looks like an ordinary farm field may be a chamber where visibility fails and direction disappears.

Roughly circular raised area (int. diam. 27.1m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, shallow, partly waterlogged fosse. Break in bank at E with accompanying causeway represents original entrance. Within the interior are possible traces of a Man-made underground passage (CV023-020002-).
