Fairy fort in Gallanes, County Cork: a circular earthen ring, 22 to 24 metres across, with a stone-faced bank and shallow outer ditch. It sits in pasture on a west-facing slope, partly hidden by growth, and contains a man-made underground passage. People may have lived, stored things, or hidden there before the field took it back.

In pasture, on break in W-facing slope. Heavily overgrown, circular area (22.3m N-S; 24.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.4m), stone faced in parts; with external fosse (D 0.7m). Man-made underground passage (CO135-025002-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
