Fairy fort in Galbolie, County Cavan: a raised circular area, about thirty-six metres across, still holding its shape beneath a worn earthen bank. A modern field drain skirts the outside, and the original entrance has disappeared. The fort may have been a home, a boundary marker, or a place where people gathered before roads and fields took over. Whatever it was, the land remembers the shape even when the names have faded.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 36m) enclosed by a much-denuded low earthen bank. A modern field drain skirts the external foot of the bank from N-ESE. Original entrance not recognisable.
