Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Froe

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Mnemo knows the first camera, the dead broker and the living child. She knows the chamber must contain Eochu, Aeocan and the child, because Eochu and Aeocan are the parents and the child is the child. The chamber must also show the child as a visible participant, not as a hidden victim.
In pasture, on S-facing slope, extensive view to sea and of Galley Head. Half-circle hachured on OS 6-inch map (1842). Levelled; some slight surface undulations indicate area of bank. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
