Freahanes holds a horseshoe-shaped hut site inside a ringfort, measuring 4.5m north-south and 5.7m east-west. Deciduous trees now crowd the interior, softening the ancient boundary and hiding the small dwelling beneath their shade. The shape suggests people once lived there, bending the landscape into a home before nature reclaimed the distinction.
