What is recorded here

Flean More is a small earthen ringfort in County Limerick, Ireland. Its worn edge still marks a circular space about twenty metres wide, set in marshland where gorse and cattle traffic have blurred much of its shape. People may have lived, hidden or tended animals there before the land changed around them. What remains is not grand, but it is still a made place, holding human time inside ordinary ground.

In undulating marshland. Roughly circular area (20m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by much-eroded scarped edge (H 0.8m; Wth 2m), with external fosse (Wth 1.7m; D 0.3m) W->E. Enclosing element is overgrown by gorse and bushes, especially on S side. Interior is partially covered by overgrowth, otherwise under rough pasture which is heavily poached by cattle.
