Fate, not choice, has claimed the Fiddaun ringfort. Men built a circular home on a gentle rise, perhaps watching the valley or hiding from rain, then forgot the shape. A machine arrived later and erased the wall, reducing centuries of human intention to a shallow scar in grassland. The underground passage remains buried beneath the field, waiting for someone brave enough to imagine what it guarded.

On a gentle rise in grassland. This very poorly preserved subcircular rath (26.5m E-W; 24.5m N-S) is defined by an almost completely levelled bank (max. H 0.2m). The monument has been bulldozed. According to local information, prior to levelling, the bank was almost 1m high and was composed of earth and stone; there was an entrance feature at W.
