Fairy fort in Fenagh Beg is a grass-covered oval, forty-five metres long, ringed by a low earth and stone bank on a rise above Lough Reane. The southern bank still stands four and a half metres wide, but the rest has surrendered to growth, hiding any entrance or ditch from modern eyes. A later field bank cuts across the southern perimeter, marking how human hands have repeatedly claimed and released this place. The lake is a hundred metres away, waiting to give back whatever the fort swallowed.

located on a rise in an undulating, low-lying landscape with rock outcrop and c. 100m from the SW shore of Lough Reane. This is a grass-covered oval area (dims 45m E-W; 37m N-S) defined by a low, earth and stone bank (at S: Wth 4.5m; H 0.2m at S) that is overgrown W-N. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, and the monument is overlain by an E-W field bank towards the perimeter at S.
