On a gentle S-facing slope at the SW base of a NW-SE ridge. Subcircular or oval grass-covered area (dims 44.2m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by the remains of an earthen bank (Wth 3.7-5.4m; int. H 0.2-0.45m; ext. H 1.2-1.4m), which has been quarried WNW-NE and SSW-WSW. There is a rounded fosse (Wth of top 6.1-7.7m; Wth of base 1.6-2.3m; D 0.7-1.2m), which does not survive NE-ESE, and an outer bank (Wth 3.1-3.4m; ext. H 0.1-0.25m) which only survives WSW-N-ENE (max. ext. diam. 50m N-S). There is no identifiable original entrance.
