No visible fort remains at Farranalough, though a field fence still curves as if respecting the lost boundary. Ó Ríordáin measured the lios at 45 yards across in 1933 and found part of a double rampart surviving on the north side. The earth has since given back much of what it took, leaving only a slight rise and a fence bent around an absent room.

According to Ó Ríordáin (1933, 61), this lios 'is 45 yards in diameter' and 'part of the double rampart remains on the north side'.
