A hidden chamber or chambered tomb may still exist beneath the grass, waiting for someone brave enough to dig where the fort stood.

In pasture, near top of S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps; limekiln marked on E bank on 1842 OS 6-inch map; external fosse hachured S->N on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. No visible surface trace of site; according to local information, levelled early 1970s. Bank visible as cropmark in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W400). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 273) as single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 29yd) on M. Kearn's land, with bank c. 4ft and interior c. 1ft higher than outside field level.
