Dunkip is a fairy fort, a circular earthwork now hidden beneath pasture and memory. It appeared on maps as a tree-lined ring before ploughs and boots smoothed its edges. The land holds the shape still, visible only when crops grow uneven or satellites pass overhead. What lives inside the fort is no longer certain, but the circle remains a boundary between knowing and forgetting.
