Fairy fort in Drumloughlin, County Monaghan: a grass-covered ring, 36.3m by 32m, with a slight earthen bank, hedge, outer drain and a central 7m platform that might mark a hut-site. It sits just northwest of a summit on an east-west drumlin ridge, beside Rath MO018-036. The entrance has not been identified, so the fort keeps its shape like a forgotten room, waiting for someone to remember which way its door opened.

Located just NW of a summit on an E-W drumlin ridge. This is a subcircular, grass-covered and slightly domed area (dims 36.3m N-S; 32m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (at NNE: Wth of base 1.8m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.4m) and hedge with an outer drain. The original entrance is not identified. There is a grass-covered platform (diam. 7m; H 0.2m) at the centre, which might be a hut-site. Rath (MO018-036----) is c. 60m to the SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
