Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed by later folklore, and this one is a shallow drumlin ridge circle in Drumliffin Glebe, County Leitrim: thirty-one metres across, with a slight bank, a lush outer band where a ditch once cut the grass, and no entrance left obvious enough to point at. People may have lived there before the name changed, herding, hiding, arguing, dying, forgetting; the field keeps the shape while the story becomes festive.

Situated on top of a low N-S drumlin ridge. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (int. diam. 31m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2.5m at E to 8m at N; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.5m) with a fosse represented by an external band of lush growth (Wth 2.4m). The original entrance is not identified.
