Drumellihy holds a genuine earthen ringfort, though local tradition calls it a fairy fort. That name suggests people once believed the circle belonged to unseen neighbours rather than human hands. The clay rim still stands in County Clare, waiting for human feet, breath and memory to explain what it kept.
