Fairy fort in Drumbo, County Cavan: a raised circular area, 28.4m across inside, enclosed by a low earthen bank and a wide deep partly waterlogged fosse. A break in the bank with a causeway at the east marks the original entrance, and a low internal bank running north-west to south-west divides the interior into two roughly equal parts. People may have lived, stored, kept animals or gathered there before the name changed; the water in the ditch still suggests a place made to be entered, not forgotten.
