Drumamry held a huge circular fort with double earthen banks and a central ditch, large enough for hundreds of people or cattle before modern farms levelled most of it. The entrance vanished, but the ground still remembers the shape of human pride and the weight of wheels rolling across it.

An earlier report (OPW 1968) described a raised almost circular area (int. dims. 59.5m E-W; 53.5m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks with intermediate fosse. Original entrance was not recognisable. Rath has been largely levelled with modern farm buildings now occupying the greater part of the site.
